Neural Octane explores human behavior in high-performance environments through an industrial-organizational psychology lens. Through vlogs, podcasts, and analysis, it examines the human forces that shape occupational performance.

The Founder

Sydney Costello started Neural Octane from an innate fascination with what makes people and organizations perform at extraordinary levels. As an Industrial-Organizational Psychology student at San Diego State University, Head of People Operations for Aztec Electric Racing, and someone who works within San Diego’s luxury automotive industry, she experiences high-performance environments firsthand.

Neural Octane looks beyond the machines to examine the people behind them. Through conversations and firsthand observation, Sydney explores how ambition, psychology, and organizational environments influence the way people work and perform.
